LA13 - Composition of governance bodies and breakdown of employees per category according to gender, age group, minority group membership, and other indicators of diversity.

In 2011 as in past years, AEP established diversity targets for females and minorities for management, professional, and physical labor positions. As the following chart reflects the 2011 placement rates in three of the six categories exceeded established targets and we came close to attaining the target for females in feeder jobs (5.70% compared to 7.60%), and for minorities in the management (10.20% compared to 15.40%). Our efforts to increase the diversity in every level of the organization will continue and we expect the progress we’ve made to be sustainable.
